This web site has been created and is maintained by Cape Jourimain Nature Centre, as the provincial coordinator of the Renewable Energy Hub, in coordination with the Conservation Council of NB, the Falls Brook Centre, and the Miramichi  River Environmental Assessment Committee. We have gathered case studies demonstrating renewable energy use from across the province, compiled links to interesting resources, and offer networking opportunities for individuals looking into implementing renewable energy options in their homes or small commercial enterprises.

Purpose

Our purpose is to provide New Brunswickers with information about small to medium-scale case studies of renewable energy technologies, and to provide people with access to relevant information and to these case studies. We hope this will make implementation of these technologies easier for people, by removing some of the knowledge barriers.

Partners

Our partners include NB Department of the Environment, NB Power, Efficiency NB and the NB Department of Energy.

About Energy Efficiency

In most cases it is much cheaper to save energy and reduce electricity usage than to install renewable energy technologies. We recommend strongly, before undertaking any renewable energy project, to assess your own electricity usage, and to improve the energy efficiency of your home or building.

Incentives

Contact Efficiency NB to get more information on incentives available in the province, how to undertake the work, contractor information, examples of work people have been doing, and lots more.
