Les propri\u00e9taires ont profit\u00e9 de cette orientation pour inclure certains \u00e9l\u00e9ments de la conception solaire passive \u00e0 leur maison, comme de grandes fen\u00eatres sur la fa\u00e7ade expos\u00e9e au sud et un large d\u00e9bord de la toiture pour faire de l\u2019ombre en \u00e9t\u00e9. De plus, du fait de l\u2019inclinaison du terrain, le mur nord du sous-sol est enfoui dans la terre, la fa\u00e7ade sud \u00e9tant d\u00e9gag\u00e9e et donnant sur le jardin. La famille trouve la maison tr\u00e8s confortable et d\u2019une grande efficacit\u00e9 \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p class=\"translation-block\">Une pompe \u00e0 chaleur air-air constitue le principal syst\u00e8me de chauffage et de refroidissement. Ils ont choisi une pompe \u00e0 chaleur un peu plus grosse qu\u2019il ne l\u2019aurait fallu, pour qu\u2019elle puisse fonctionner efficacement et r\u00e9pondre ais\u00e9ment \u00e0 leurs besoins. Ils ont aussi un po\u00eale \u00e0 bois dans le sous-sol comme chauffage d\u2019appoint pendant les mois les plus froid (moins de 10 \u00b0C) et utilisent jusqu\u2019\u00e0 deux cordes de bois par an. La chaleur fournie par ce po\u00eale \u00e0 bois circule gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 un ventilateur. La combinaison de ces syst\u00e8mes permet de garder la maison \u00e0 une temp\u00e9rature tr\u00e8s confortable.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-2653\" title=\"img_2126\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/img_2126-350x262.jpg\" alt=\"img_2126\" width=\"350\" height=\"262\" \/>It should be noted that efficiency was in mind from the very beginning, as measures to reduce waste were taken during home construction.
